Shop Ulster Saturday a Great Success!
Keep alive the spirit of Shop Ulster Saturday
Thanks to Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan for proclaiming this past Saturday, March 28th, Shop Ulster Saturday, a day when eager shoppers were able to visit their favorite stores online. The day began with a virtual ribbon cutting conducted by the County Executive and Chamber President Ward Todd. Over the course of the entire day Saturday, merchants in many of Ulster County’s great stores, shops and restaurants reported brisk business. They took to social media and thanked the members of the Ulster County community for remembering them during this time of national crisis.
As County Executive Ryan said, “Locally owned small businesses are the lifeblood of our Ulster County economy and it is especially important that we show them our support during the COVID-19 crisis. Even though their front doors are closed to shoppers, their virtual doors are wide open.” He urged everyone in Ulster County to go online and purchase a gift card from one of our many great local stores, shops and restaurants and then use that card later in the year or give away as a gift for a birthday, anniversary or even during the holidays.
Let’s all keep supporting our local businesses, whether you are in Ulster, Dutchess, or anywhere else in the Hudson Valley area!
Thank you to Ulster County Chamber of Commerce for the news update!
