Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery

Celebrating the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest 2023 participating wineries

Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery is located in the foothills of the Hudson Valley.  Its manicured grounds, gardens, and orchards span over 120 acres.  The company created the New York’s original cider, the award-winning Doc’s Cider, and is home to the first distillery in New York State since prohibition.  Creators of the SFWSC Double Gold-winning Black Dirt Bourbon, they also offer a critically acclaimed wine collection, and make a mean sangria and excellent cocktails. All ingredients are sourced locally, and they offer gourmet farm-to-table cuisine.

In 1990, Warwick Valley started growing apple trees, and today has one of the most diverse pick-your-own orchards on the East Coast with over 65 heirloom and modern apple varieties.

In 1995, Warwick Valley hosted its first Bob Dylan Tribute Festival. Ever since then, they’ve had live music every weekend and multiple music festivals each year.

In 1998, they built a lovely cafe which features food made from scratch with locally sourced, farm-grown ingredients.

In 2001, Warwick Valley helped kick off the craft spirits movement by applying for and receiving a grant to become the first craft distillery in the state since prohibition. They started by making fruit brandies, liqueurs, and cordials under the name American Fruits.

In 2012, they followed up by building the largest craft distillery on the East Coast, Black Dirt Distillery.

In the well-appointed tasting room, you can discover Warwick Valley’s well-developed farm-to-glass ciders, relish in the complexities of its spirits, and indulge in its wines. They offer Warwick Valley Wines, Doc’s Ciders, American Fruits Cordials & Liqueurs, Warwick Gin, Gin Pig, Black Dirt Bourbon & Rye tastings 7 days a week, 362 days a year from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Or you can enjoy the view of the farm while dining on the cafe patio, among the rose gardens, under the trees, or in the post-and-beam dining room. Savor the flavors of locally grown, scratch made, outstanding food, in a casual and fun environment. They offer brick-oven and (in warmer months) wood-fired pizzas. Their bread is made from scratch every morning. Their meat is locally raised, and they break it down in-house. Wherever possible, they source their produce from our kitchen garden, farm or local farms in the area.

Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery is at 114 Little York Road in Warwick, New York 10990. Call (845) 258-4858 for more information.
